Pre-Approval Programs
OSHPD Facilities Development Division has three distinct pre-approval programs that operate under the Structural Support Unit (SSU).
OSHPD PreApproval of Anchorage (OPA)
The OSHPD Preapproval of Anchorage (OPA) is a voluntary program for review and pre-approval of equipment anchorage and distribution system seismic bracing, to be used in health facilities construction in California.

The OSHPD Special Seismic Certification Preapproval (OSP) is a voluntary program for review and pre-approval of Special Seismic Certifications to be used in health facilities construction in California.

OSHPD Preapproved Details (OPD)
The OSHPD Preapproved Details (OPD) are standard architectural and engineering details developed by OSHPD FDD for use in California heath facilities construction, at the discretion of Registered Design Professionals (RDP).
