Downloading Data
Depending on your particular operating system, browser, and spreadsheet application, you may experience slightly different circumstances when downloading the data.
Saving a file to disk:
For most users, saving a data file to download initiates a dialog box that will appear giving you several choices, depending on your Web browser. No matter what your other choices may be, choose "Save The File To Disk" (your hard drive). Select the location (folder, directory or desktop) on your hard drive or disk drive where you want the file to reside.
Alternative save option:
You may also right click on the HTML link listed. Choose "Save Target As" (or "Download Link to Disk"). Select the location (folder or directory) on your hard drive or disk drive where you want the file to reside.
Saving CSV Files:
For some users, when you click on the Data link, your spreadsheet application will automatically launch and open the .csv file. If this happens, be sure to save the file before exiting the spreadsheet application.
In either case, the file will have a default name with a .csv extension. You may use this name or change it to whatever you prefer.
