The Health Professions Education Foundation will announce the next award cycle when funding becomes available.

Who may apply?

Students who are enrolled or accepted into Dentist, Dental Hygienists, Nurse Practitioners, Certified Nurse Midwives, Physician Assistant and Clinical Nurse Specialists programs.

An awardee may receive up to $10,000 for this scholarship. An awardee commits to work full-time or 32 hours per week after graduating with a degree for a two-year service obligation practicing direct patient care in a medically underserved area (MUA) in California.
