OSHPD Quarterly Hospital Profile Characteristics
The Quarterly Hospital Profile Characteristics query system is an interactive Web-based application that enables individuals to customize a report using Hospital Quarterly Financial and Utilization data. The site is updated four times a year on the 20th of January, April, July, and October.
Follow the instructions below to view an individual hospital profile or an aggregate hospital profile.
Individual Hospital Profile
- Go to Profile query system.
- Enter a Hospital Number (nine-digit OSHPD Facility Number) OR select a Hospital Name from drop-down list.
- Select Individual Quarter OR Four Quarters Ending (combined reports).
- Select a Report Year AND Calendar Quarter from drop-down lists, where Quarters 1, 2, 3 and 4 are March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31, respectively.
- Click on Submit.
Aggregate Hospital Profile
- Go to Profile query system.
- Select Individual Quarter OR Four Quarters Ending (combined reports).
- Select a Report Year AND Calendar Quarter from drop-down lists.
- Four profile options are provided: Type of Hospital, Type of Control, Teaching or Small/Rural, and County. You can select multiple criteria. The default setting is for all comparable hospitals statewide.
- Click on Submit.
Hospital Quarterly Financial Report Search
The Hospital Quarterly Financial Report Search query system allows a user to view a hospital data summary report immediately after a quarterly financial and utilization report has been submitted by the hospital. An audited version of a report is produced after OSHPD has completed its desk audit of a report. The data summary report includes data for the selected quarter, as well as data from the previous quarter, and the same quarter in the prior year, along with additional calculations.
Follow the instructions below to view a hospital quarterly report.
Hospital Quarterly Financial and Utilization Data Summary Report
- Go to Financial Report query system.
- Enter a Hospital Number (nine-digit OSHPD Facility Number) OR select a Hospital Name from drop-down list.
- Select a Report Year from drop-down list.
- Select a Calendar Quarter from drop-down list, where Quarters 1, 2, 3 and 4 are March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31, respectively.
- Click on Submit.
Attention Data Users: Please exercise caution when interpreting OSHPD data. The use of improper assumptions and analytical methods may result in erroneous or misleading conclusions. Conclusions drawn from OSHPD data are the sole responsibility of the user. Users should be aware that financial and utilization data products are based on a dynamic database that is constantly being updated. As a result, the same data item for a facility may change over time or be different between products.
