Data can be requested from the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) that may not be available on the OSHPD website.

Patient-Level Administrative Data

OSHPD maintains three privacy levels for patient-level administrative data files that can be used for research, based on eligibility. Use the information below to learn the eligibility and process for requesting data, as well as other tools and resources for using and accessing OSHPD patient-level data.

Pricing Policy Changes for Datasets

OSHPD will no longer charge for patient-level data sets ordered or filled on or after 7/1/2018 for eligible requestors. This includes data sets for Patient Discharge Data sets (PDD), Emergency Department Data (EDD) and Ambulatory Surgery Center Data (ASD)  for eligible requests for Limited Data Sets (formerly AB2876) and Research Request (formerly IPA) processes as well as for the currently available Public Use Files PUF (2010-2014.) There are no refunds for data requests fulfilled prior to midnight on 6/30/2018.
