About Scholarship Programs of the Health Professions Education Foundation

The Health Professions Education Foundation administers six (6) scholarship programs that provide students with support to finance their education while accepted or enrolled in a health professions program. Students can apply and may be awarded in exchange for a period of direct patient service to a medically underserved community upon completion of their education. These scholarship programs include:

  • Allied Healthcare Scholarship Program
  • Vocational Nurse Scholarship Program
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse to Associate Degree Nursing Scholarship Program
  • Associate Degree Nursing Scholarship Program
  • Bachelor of Science Nursing Scholarship Program

Primary Care Psychiatry (PCP) Fellowship Scholarship    UC Irvine/UC Davis Train New Trainers

The PCP Fellowship scholarship is a one-time $1 million General Fund scholarship for primary care physicians who wish to receive advanced training in primary care psychiatry. The PCP Fellowship scholarship is open to primary care physicians (family medicine, internal medicine, OB/GYN, or Pediatrics) and emergency physicians, who work in a Health Professional Shortage Area – Primary Care or Primary Care Shortage Area in California.
